The late Ronald I. Johnson was a marketing, sales, and service professional with more than 40 years of experience in the fields of education and social services, and in luxury retail sales and marketing (jewelry and clothing). He possessed an extensive Rolodex of contacts in the above-listed sectors as well as in healthcare, law, media, and entertainment.
For Mitra Creative, Mr. Johnson identified and helped to close one of the company’s most significant pieces of business–a several-year-long web development (technical) partnership/sub-contracting engagement between Mitra Creative and another important, privately-owned, New York-based boutique digital agency. He also provided advisement on sales and customer service strategy.
Mr. Johnson spent a decade co-producing lines of high-fashion jewelry and clothing and collaborated on the sales and marketing of these products throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. In this capacity, he provided creative direction, conducted market research, developed and executed more than $500,000.00 per annum of product sales, and attended and sold products at major fashion and jewelry expos across the U.S.
Mr. Johnson worked most recently at Columbia University. During his more than 15 years in the university’s administration prior to retirement, he helped to develop and deliver specialized educational financing programs for undergraduate students and directly supported college deans.
Mr. Johnson received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University and was a published author.
Ronald I. Johnson passed away in April 2014.
