Brett Henne was Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications for a world-renowned music and pop culture television network, where he oversaw all corporate communications for the channel, including promotion of its programming and branding initiatives. He also drove communications efforts for the network’s niche digital music channels and pro-social initiatives.
Prior to this position, Mr. Henne was an independent communications consultant working with Lifetime Television, Court TV, TV Guide, the Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB), and OlympuSAT, a digital satellite delivery system for independent television networks. Before starting his consulting practice in 2000, he was Director, Corporate Communications for Lifetime Television. While there, he launched the press efforts for Lifetime Sports, featuring the network’s live WNBA telecasts, and the Lifetime.com website. He started at Lifetime in 1994 as a publicist, and was promoted to manager of press relations, creating the launch strategy for the network’s then-new daytime line-up.
Mr. Henne began his two-decade career in the public relations industry with Young & Rubicam’s Burson-Marsteller, working on the Owens-Corning and IBM accounts, as well as business development for the French Government.
Mr. Henne graduated magna cum laude from Bowling Green State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in journalism. He is also a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and OUTProfessionals.
