Joseph Cantor
Digital Video and Multimedia Strategist

Joseph Cantor has nearly 25 years of experience as a filmmaker, videographer, sound recordist, and multimedia professional. He spent a decade of his career, in the late 1990s and early 2000s, producing and shooting corporate video presentations for Lucent Technologies, Pepsi, IBM, CSL (Aventis) Behring, Canon, AT&T, and more.

Most recently, Mr. Cantor’s career has been focused on digital video shoots and location sound recording for ABC, NBC, Fox News, and Fox Networks, for a number of music videos, and on co-producing and shooting documentaries and independent short films. He just completed sound work on “Steamroom” (2007), his third feature film. He has also recently worked on the films “The Wine Bar” (2006), “The System Within” (2006), and “Nicky's Game” (2005)—these credits can be found on IMDb. Mr. Cantor previously produced a 5-minute documentary about the Tiffany Family of Irvington, NY (the focus being the restoration of the historic Tiffany Reading Room), and is co-producing, with the Oscar®-nominated documentary filmmaker and renowned NYU Film School faculty member, Christine Choy, a film entitled “Where’s the Music At?”

Mr. Cantor has an impressive list of academic credits, and is currently lecturing in location sound at the New York Film Academy. He was educated at The George Washington University and the NYU Film School.
